About this Work

The design of the Athens Olympic Games Information Technology Infrastructure was one of our largest and most diverse design Projects. Actually it is one of the largest design projects ever in our domain in Greece.

The project involved the design of the entire Infrastructure of the Athens Olympic games, which was performed from scratch from January of 2002 until the beginning of 2003. It was one of the few Olympic Games projects that finished on-time and on-schedule.

The design included environmental specifications, power, ventilation, cooling and drainage; Detailed specifications of all networking equipment, including topology, connectivity and diagrams, as well as computing hardware, servers, workstations etc and their respective system software.
